Mincemeat is a traditional English holiday pie. Apples, Chicken, Dried Fruit, and Spices are cooked in Cider and Butter and then soaked in Brandy. It was originally made as a way to preserve meat over the winter without refrigeration. Dried Fruit, Apples and spices are the dominant flavors, you can hardly notice the chicken at all. We recommend serving the pie with Brandy Hard Sauce (which we sell in the store) or whipped cream.

Ingredients: Apples, Chicken, Brandy, Butter, Apple Cider, Currants, Raisins, Yellow Raisins, Brown Sugar, Mace, Allspice, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Flour, Vegetable Shortening, Salt



We recommend storing fruit pies in a cool place or refrigerator overnight. Allow the pie to sit out at room temperature up to 3 hours before serving.

If you’d like to reheat any pies, which we recommend, place the pie in a 350 oven for 15-20 minutes. Fruit pies should be placed on a sheet tray in case any juice leaks.

Pumpkin Pie should not be reheated and should be served at room temperature.

If any pie is leftover, it can be frozen for about 6 months. The pie should be wrapped in plastic or put in a plastic bag and then ideally stored in the box it came in.
